Explosion Isolation Non Return Valve - ATEX certified

Sizes from 200mm to 1000mm Diameter

This non-return valve is designed to separate the filter from the plant. It is a simple and effective system that is easy to install, without electronics which requires no electrical connections, practically no maintenance and with very low pressure loss.

During the normal process, the non-return valve's flap remains opened due to the airflow. At deadlock, the valve closes due to the flap's own weight. When an explosion takes place, the ATEX certified non-return valve blocks the expansion of the explosion due to the front spreading pressure along the ductwork

After an explosion, pressure fluctuations can cause the valve to reopen. To prevent this, a safety lock system is in place. This system uses a flexible spring metal mechanism. If the valve flap closes, it engages the locking system, securing the flap beneath the top plate. Following the explosion, it's crucial to manually unlock the valve flap once the event is over. Additionally, a thorough inspection of the entire valve is necessary to identify any damage that may affect its operation. Please be aware that the inner flap may also self-lock during reverse current cleaning of the filter. In such cases, it's advisable to check the installation distance and reverse flow pressure to minimize any impact on the non-return valve.

The non-return valve is an excellent ATEX certified Safety system for the compartmentalization of an explosion and is suitable for use in Ex zone 21 (ext.) and up to Ex zone 20 (int.).

Advantages:

- Economically suitable solution for security against an explosion

- Completely mechanical requiring practically no maintenance

- NO power consumption

- Simple assembly, operation and maintenance
